Welcome to Balance Yoga's private studio in Tamahere

Weekly small group classes

In Balance Yoga's boutique private studio you'll be in expert hands. Small class sizes (maximum 6-7 yogis) allow for more individual attention, continuity and progression. With small groups, these classes will meet you at your own personal level, and are carefully crafted to bring your body, mind and breath into unity. 

Bookings are essential for all classes. Bookings are made on a monthly basis. Please contact me directly with your booking enquiry.

Class descriptions

Yoga for Wellbeing (Mon, Tues & Thurs)

An all-round yoga practice to help bring your mind and body into balance. Incorporating yoga poses, movement and breathing practices to help you build physical and mental strength, flexibility, endurance, resiliency and peace. Suitable for all levels.

Beginner's Yoga (not currently offered in Tamahere - see Cambridge)

*BEGINNER'S YOGA is not currently scheduled in Tamahere. However there is a session in Cambridge every Tuesday at 6.45pm. Please contact me if you are interested in joining us there. 
The perfect place to start for anyone new to yoga. Designed to share the basics of yoga in a welcoming, non-judgement environment to help you develop confidence on the mat. A slower pace, with more explanation, to help you get started on your yoga journey and experience the benefits of this holistic mind-body-breath practice.

Unwind Yoga (Thursdays 7-8pm)

Does your stress build up and/or your energy wane during the week? Unwind yoga is the ideal antidote. A luxurious practice combining movement, restoration and breathwork, Unwind Yoga will help you ease stress out of your body and mind, and glide into a restful evening with a reset for your mind and body. A great set up for a good night's sleep.
Suitable for all levels of yogi.

Mindful Yoga (not currently scheduled)

In this session we place even more emphasis on nurturing our presence of mind and our awareness. Turn your awareness more inwards, explore the experience of moving and breathing and being present. These sessions include a combination of intention, movement, yin yoga poses, embodiment, breathing practices and basic meditations. Leave feeling peaceful and present.

Enrolment & fees

Bookings are essential for Tamahere sessions, and are generally done on a monthly basis. The expectation is for students to book in for the full month. However there is flexibility if you know in advance you'll be away a certain week. This allows for continuity and progression, and helps you stay committed to your own wellbeing. 

Sessions are $20 each. 

Occasionally there is space for casual attendance week by week. If you are interested in this please contact me directly.

Please note, fees are non-refundable (no part-refunds for missed sessions).

All students (new and returning) need to complete a registration form, including agreeing to enrolment T&Cs.

What to bring

You are encouraged to BYO yoga mat and blanket, but all mats and props are also available to you here as needed.
Wear comfortable clothing you can move freely in.
Yoga is done in bare feet.

Tamahere classes are held in my own private boutique yoga space, in Hooker Road.
Parking provided. Address shared on booking.
